Iraqi refugees need U.S. aid
The plight of millions of displaced Iraqis ought to be a major concern of the U.S. occupiers. But a recent decision by the United States to allow only 7,000 Iraqi refugees into the country belies the grave outlook for those who have either lost their homes to the fighting or been forced to flee them. The advocacy group Refugees International has termed the Iraq migration “the fastest-growing humanitarian crisis in the world,” a fact the United States appears unwilling to acknowledge.
