By CorrespondentWarden youth traveled to Columbus, Ohio, for the Mennonite Church USA convention in July.
With the Seattle Mennonite Church youth group, our young people spent several days building relationships together and joined other volunteers to serve some 600 families at a food bank near the church. They painted and did other maintenance work at God’s Lil’ Acre, an outreach by the Seattle church to the homeless.
Pastor Brad Roth traveled to Paraguay with Rob Shelly for Mennonite World Conference. They took a tour of the Chaco and learned of the history of Mennonite suffering, striving and eventually thriving in that harsh landscape.
Venture Club, an after-school program for children, is up and running again this year as God provided the volunteers to fill all the slots for teachers and helpers.
