48 hours of prayer

During the Sunday worship service they sang several numbers for us.
Aug. 15 was the ordination service for Jeff Mumaw, associate pastor, with Noel Santiago bringing the sermon. Family members from Harrisonburg, Va., were present to support Mumaw, his wife, Veva, and their children.
Supplies for school kits for MCC were collected by Mennonite Women, with a total of 431 school bags filled. Children entering sixth grade this fall were presented study Bibles by the Discipling Commission.
Wedding anniversary: Dean and Vivian Brubaker, 60th, Aug. 13.
A Prayer Shawl Ministry has started here at church, with many participants knitting and crocheting shawls to give to people who are hospitalized or have serious illnesses. Darcy Miller shared during a Sunday worship service about her mission trip to Cambodia to work with women who are victims of the horrors of human sex trafficking.
Clinton Frame had many members participating in the Michiana Relief Sale held Sept. 26 at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds. Many quilts were donated by Mennonite Women, and Clinton Frame was in charge of the pulled pork booth. CFMC participated with providing spare change for the MCC Water for Life Project. A total of $1,141 was collected.
“Reveal/48 Seeking God’s Vision through Prayer” was held Sept. 27-29 here at the church. Members signed up to come to the church and pray as individuals, families or small groups, with a continuous 48 hours of prayer. There were 13 different prayer stations set up.
Joseph H. Schlabach, 57, died Sept. 13. Survivors: wife, Sharon; two sons, Justin and Jared Schlabach; and daughter Renee Schlabach.
