By Mary EytzenSenior pastor Rick Eshbaugh began a sermon series the first of the year to coincide with the Financial Peace University course that the congregation is presently involved in.
This is a 13-week course, and the sermon series is titled “Momentum,” teaching on God’s way of handling our finances.
On Jan. 11, youth pastor Keith Warkentin had the privilege of baptizing two teens, Jolee Russell and Samantha Stevenson. That Sunday, 4-month-old Kaleb, son of Jered and Kim Schouten, was dedicated to the Lord by Pastor Rick Eshbaugh.
On Feb. 22, associate pastor Tim Thiessen baptized five adults: Jeff and Jennifer Wheeler, Christy Martin, Lori Jo Alison and Tiffany Clark, and youth pastor Keith Warkentin baptized teenager Madison Wheeler. These were accepted into membership along with Jason Clark, Steve Martin and Paige Warkentin.
On Feb. 22, 1-month-old Nathan, son of Bobby and Sara Stiles, was dedicated to the Lord, along with 5-year-old Tommy and 3-year-old Sammy.
