Quilters, volunteers and attendees from Trinity helped support Glencroft’s 37th annual benefit quilt show and auction March 6-7. More than $135,000 was raised, with proceeds benefiting the Glencroft community and its residents.
Myron and Esther Augsburger spent March 21-22 at Trinity. Myron spoke Saturday and at both services Sunday on “Sharing in God’s New Creation” and “Kingdom Priorities.” Sunday school featured Esther’s art. The Augsburgers also presented “Anabaptists in Dialogue with Other Christians.”
Heather Showalter and Sue Ventola shared stories and photos April 5 from their visit to Egypt with Kristen Ventola. Kristen is a Trinity member serving a three-year service term with MCC in Sudan.
Brian Fry resigned from the leadership team to focus more fully on his role as a board member and assistant moderator of Pacific Southwest Mennonite Conference.
The Goldensun Ministries board appointed Jean June as interim executive director. June is a recently retired social worker with management and social-service experience.
Easter worship began with a sunrise service with Sunnyslope Mennonite Church at North Mountain Park. The MYF provided a fundraiser brunch between worship services. Children grades five and younger enjoyed the annual treasure hunt.
