By Lois Ruth KennelOn Easter, Pastor David Brunner began a series of sermons with the theme, “None Can Stop the Spirit.” Josh Warner, trumpet, and Hoi Ting Davidson, violin, enhanced our worship music with their skills.
RMC surprised Art Kennel with a celebration of his 80th birthday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church May 2. Sue Gerber sang in his honor during worship April 26, his actual birthday.
The dedication of Caleb Owen Kennel, son of Kurt and Betty Kennel, took place May 3.
Our annual Anniversary Sunday with communion and signing of the church covenant was celebrated on May 17. We vacated the space we used for worship for five years after the service May 24, and moved to another area of Schaeffer Academy.
On May 31, Pentecost Sunday, we were asked to be aware of how the Spirit is moving in our own lives and in those around us. Several interfaith local activities converged poignantly for some of us this week. We want to be aware of the Spirit at work and how we are called to worship and work.
Birth: Cameron James, April 16, to Jennifer and Geoffrey Buchholz. Grandparents are Dan and Mary Hostetler.
