Spirit is our GPS

By Ila ZimmerlyA special Easter service was a re-enactment of the Last Supper. It included 15 men from the church. It focused our minds on the events and suffering of Jesus’ last time with his disciples before his crucifixion. Easter sunrise service was followed by breakfast and a resurrection celebration.
Karl and Marlene Bernhard from Amor Viviente Church in New Orleans came to celebrate the adoption of Madison Sophia by Kirk and Jenee Hilty. A dedication service was held May 3.
Stacy Miller graduated from University of Virginia Medical School on May 17. She will begin her residency in Omaha, Neb., in July.
Aaron Nussbaum, 89, died May 13. Survivors: wife, Mary; sons David, Paul, Samuel, Earl, Nathan and John; daughters Esther Walthour, Ruth Suter, Lois Bixler and Rose Hackman.
Wedding: Dale Atkinson and Brandi McFarland, May 16.
“A Holy Intercessor” was the title of Pastor Gordon Miller’s sermon on May 31. God’s Partnering Spirit is our GPS system when we find Jesus. We can depend on him. Sometimes a GPS will not function correctly, but ours always will.
