New pastor team

By Lucile E. GrieserAfter our pastor, Jim Roynon, resigned in 2007, Tim Lehman of Bellefontaine became our transitional pastor.
After much prayer and searching, the pastoral search team came up with Jess and Naomi Engle to be our new pastor team for us to vote on. They decided that they would come June 28. Tim and Susan Lehman left for Ely, Minn., on May 4, the day after our farewell for them on May 3.
On May 3, Claire Waidelich and Christopher Waidelich were baptized.
May 17 was Senior High School Sunday. Jacob Lange, a senior, gave the meditation. He is in North Dakota this summer in aviation school. The other seniors were Harrison King, Peter Lehman, Laurie Nofziger, Bryce Rufenacht, Jessica Short and Garrett Waidelich.
The people from church cleaned the house that the Engles bought so it would be ready to move into. The eighth Black Swamp Benefit was held June 19-20. The proceeds after expenses were divided evenly between MCC and Sunshine of Northwest Ohio.
On June 21, Rocky Miller of Sarasota, Fla., a former pastor, told us of his airplane experience. Andy Stoner, our regional pastor, was here for the installation of the Engles on June 28.
Weddings: Abby Wyse and Caleb Nafziger, May 23; Kylie Karagiorge and Kevin Noble, June 20; and Alysa Sauder and Mark Short, June 26.
Ora Richer, 83, died June 26. Survivors: sons Mike, Brooke and Ken; and daughter Marcia Lehman
