Audio: Anabaptists record radio ads for moral budget

By Sheldon C. Good Mennonite Weekly Review

Two Anabaptist leaders recently recorded radio advertisements advocating for lawmakers not to balance the national budget on the backs of the poor.

Nan Erbaugh, pastor of Lower Miami Church of the Brethren in Dayton, Ohio; and Duane Beachey of Whitesburg, Ky., co-coordinator of Mennonite Central Committee’s Appalachian program; recorded two of the three advertisements placed by Sojourners.

  • Go Pastor Duane:

i knew you were gutsy when you led our crew in New Orleans after Katrina. BLessings to you for speaking out publicly, Sylvia (the pastor from Germany, now Houston, TX)
